With their combined passion for art and athletics, The Harrell's partnered together to create The Youth Bowl Experience (YBE) which was first held in Houston, Texas during Super Bowl LI. YBE exposes and enlightens the minds to today’s youth as they navigate through today’s challenges and the changing landscape through S.T.E.A.M. sports.
MANAGING DIRECTORS

Harrell, is the President of the Brotherhood Project, The Brotherhood Project is a group of professional dedicated men who are able to guide and support youth and young men, who are fatherless boys on their journey to manhood. The Brotherhood Project has a proven approach that has produced real changes in the lives of youth/young men.  Harrell believes that the mentorship program of the Brotherhood Project is

critical to the long-term development of youth and their ability to navigate through the journey of life.

 

The goal of The Brotherhood Program is to empower youth/young men through mentorship, discovery and discussion of history, culture and social problems that are around them.

 

Most recently, he went back to his athletic passion and partnered with his wife Stacy Harrell for The Youth Bowl Experience that was held in Houston, Texas during Super Bowl LI. He is Managing Director and Athletic Director for The Youth Bowl Experience. The Youth Bowl Experience exposes and enlightens the minds to today’s youth as they navigate through today’s challenges and the changing landscape through sports.

 

Harrell, spends most of his time enjoying being a husband, father and mentor. He believes that anything is possible when you apply faith, commitment and hard-work.

Michael Harrell is a native of North Carolina and a product Herford County School District, graduating from Ahoskie High School. After graduating he enlisted in the United States Army where he served as a soldier, drill sergeant and played in the European National Basketball League. He served in the United States Army for 10 years and was honorably discharged.

 

After discharging from the army he relocated to Houston, Texas where he worked for numerous companies. Harrell, later became the Vice President of Unity Financial Group, a commercial and residential real estate brokerage firm.

 

Unity Financial Group’s mission was to assist clients, including individuals, public agencies, investors, and corporate decision makers, in meeting their need to acquire, development, dispose, lease or manage real estate assets in changing economic environments.

 

Harrell, also founded Magic Ready Mix a construction and concrete contracting company. He is a member of Houston West Chamber of Commerce.

Stacy J. Harrell

Stacy J. Harrell is a charismatic leader and artistic entrepreneur on many levels. She is a native Houstonian and a product of the Houston Independent School District.  She worked for several years within the social services arena as an Employment Coach and Social Service Caseworker. After years of addressing the needs of others Stacy decided to take a step of faith.  With a vision and no funding she founded Visual Arts Productions a non-profit organization that is dedicated to producing educational theatrical dance programming tailored for youth. With commitment and a spirit of team-work VA Productions also provides event planning and concert production. Throughout her 15 years tenure, she has spearheaded numerous community projects, partnering with community leaders, corporations and organizations advocating for youth and community empowerment.

 

She has dedicated her leadership to further the arts as a Movement Engineer and Producer with her unique style. Stacy J. credits her aunt Deloris Johnson for influencing her success as an innovator in community leadership. She has given voice to the importance of artistic movement in the gospel entertainment industry. Her pioneering spirit has been the driving force to showcase her talents on platforms across the nation while receiving exposure in television, radio and print.

She directed and produced the first televised inspirational dance show in the nation entitled “Move Something”. Over the past eight years, “Move Something” has been the gateway for dancers to recognize themselves as artists and connect with national recording artists and industry executives. The show has aired on TV-One and The WORD Network.

 

Stacy J’s artistic fortitude and event planning have caused her collaborative works to be center stage on numerous events in the mainstream inspirational entertainment industry internationally with renowned artists and actors. Stacy J is the first female mime dancer to introduce the female gender and genre of dance nationally to the mainstream gospel entertainment industry.

Most recently, she created The Youth Bowl Experience an event that exposes and enlightens the minds of today’s youth as they navigate through today’s challenges and the changing landscape through S.T.E.A.M Sports. The Youth Bowl Experience launched during Super Bowl LI in Houston, Texas. She and her husband are Managing Directors.
